Ancient Persia. Elamite-Luristan, c. 1200-800 BC. Nice large bronze arrowhead, with a deltoid head, raised central midrib and short tang for mounting in the spear or arrow’s shaft. L: 4”, nicely preserved with olive-green patina and earthen and mineral encrustations. See: Malloy "Weapons" plate XII, #92; Muscarella #417 for type. From the highly curated Spangenberg collection, Texas (original collection registration number 2009.21.74/16.08.76. Accompanied by a hand-signed certificate of authenticity which includes all the details, culture, dating, motifs/inscriptions when applicable, historical relevance, and provenance.
