Product Description
Holy Land, Late Roman to Byzantine period, c. 4th-5th Century AD. Nice small ceramic oil lamp. Mold-made with tapered shoulders adorned with three diagonal bands containing hatching. At back is a small pinched handle and on bottom is a base with maker’s mark impressed within, depicting a palm frond. With light Holy Land earthen deposits, spout still charred from use in antiquity!
