Antique Colt Model 1849 Percussion Pocket Revolver, manufactured in 1861, undoubtedly seeing active use during the Civil War. In good condition for its age, with all serial numbers 188788 correctly matching. With its original wood grips, a Five-shot smooth cylinder, and 0.31 caliber 4-inch barrel. Signs of wear and use overall, including some scuffs, dents and rust typical for a pistol of this age. The barrel has the one-line Samuel Colt New York address “ADDRESS COL SAM’L COLT NEW YORK U.S. AMERICA”. Mechanically good and extremely well preserved! Ex Tallahassee, FL collection.
