Offered today is a Lincoln Penny ERROR COIN. This is what you call an OFF CENTER STRIKE.

The coin was not completely centered during the striking process. Therefore only part of the coin was struck. The coin is pre- dates 1982. We know this because the coin is made of copper.

The coin does not show a date as the planchet rotated during the strike.

You can see that due to the off center strike that the planchet is actually elongated or wider than a normal penny.

I have several coins in this lot, BUT YOU ARE ONLY BUYING ONE COIN AT A TIME ON THIS SALE.

The coin you receive is not the exact coin in the picture, but it will be very close.
