Hardly any other knife shows the consistency of craftsmanship quite like the Nesmuk handcrafted knives. Each Nesmuk EXKLUSIV knife is made in more than fifty steps in Solingen, Germany with several variants distinguishable by the number of layers of Damascus steel and the carbon content of the steel. Carbon is a major factor for attainable sharpness and edge retention. Only knives that pass the final inspection for flawless perfection receive the archaic bat symbol. The one sided hollow grind on 210 layers of Damascus steel creates the unique look and excellent cutting characteristics of the hand forged blade. The solid, smooth and highly polished handle is made of finest Amboyna burl, one of the rarest woods in the world.
The EXKLUSIV Amboyna chef’s knife is the lightest knife of the EXKLUSIV line. The 7" long blade makes it the all-rounder in every kitchen. Exclusive NPC coating technology protects the valuable blade permanently against corrosion. It reduces the otherwise common maintenance effort of hand forged carbon blades and preserves it for decades. The back side of the blade is ground flat and shows a different structure than the hollow ground front side.
Only 20 individually-numbered copies of this knife have been produced and are available exclusively on Touch of Modern.
